They recognize and reward experience and foster an environment of collaboration. The culture is family oriented and the team works well together. Alpine has demonstrated experience and has created a distinct value proposition in the industry through excellent customer service, responsiveness and dedication to client. We are a small organization which is a double edge sword. It assists in our ability to make decisions effectively but also hinders our ability to penetrate wider in the marketplace. We do a nice job of balancing however if you are accustomed to a very large organization with many resources you rely on to perform your job function this may take adjusting to.
Advice to Management
Continue to seek opportunities to grow the business through new avenues of revenue generation while maintaining the values that Alpine is so well recognized for! Let's also find ways as a company to sponsor and work together on giving back to the community through volunteer work and community service. Perhaps select a non profit we could sponsor and volunteer with to give back what we have been so blessed with. It continues to be a pleasure to represent Alpine Consulting in every way!
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Alpine Consulting (New Albany, OH) in January 2013.
Initial conversation with a recruiter. Then followed by discussions with a Technical Project Manager. Then talked with a current developer.
Very slow to respond and hire. Took almost 3 months before I started from when I first started talking with them.
No skill test required, although they do sometimes do contract to hire.
I was given a pretty good offer, I didn't negotiate.
