Our products and business units have a great reputation in the national market which provides sustainable long term growth.
Entrepreneurial culture that allows for creativity in ways more traditional companies do not.
    On-site gym.
On-site nurse practitioner - pretty clutch when you don't have time to schedule an appointment outside of work.

    Payroll Analyst Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Cleveland, OH

    Average Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at AmTrust Financial (Cleveland, OH).

    Interview

I applied on LinkedIn and a recruiter reached out to me. She was very kind and pleasant to speak to. That led to a phone interview with the payroll manager which lasted about an hour. The manager was easy to speak to and was pleasant. The next step was an in-person interview. I met with the lead of the department and the payroll manager which conducted the phone interview with me. The whole process was pleasant and I did not have any issues with anything that happened during the process.

Where I have issues is what happened after that. I was ghosted. I followed up and requested feedback. I was told to sit tight for a few weeks and that I would hear back. I waited three weeks in order to give them space and I didn't hear anything. I followed up again and was told that I would be hearing back. There has been radio silence ever since.

I am not one to leave negative feedback, but to bring a prospective employee in from out of town for a third interview and to not have the courtesy to follow up after over 6 months is unprofessional. I noticed that Amtrust is looking to hire a payroll manager, which leads me to believe that the manager I interviewed with is no longer with the company. Still, an email updating me on where I stand with regards to the position is the least they could have done.
