    I applied through a recruiter. The process took a week. I interviewed at American CareSource (Dayton, OH) in April 2011.


    As a health provider of Medicaid I thought this would be a great job so I applied online. Then I was contacted by a Recruiter for a phone interview then for a face to face. The job sounded nice. They had put off some hiring due to not being sure of the economy, as with most companies in America.

    As time went on, things seemed fine for a fit. Then they do a background check and drug test, alcohol test and tobacco test. Of course you can't smoke onsite. One would expect that. But you can't smoke at all in your life. If you are caught, you are terminated immediately. Even socially on your own. I find that discriminatory. You can drink socially on the weekends and it is fine. But you can't smoke. That just doesn't seem right and socialist.

    So if you smoke don't apply. The pay was not that great either.

    Interview Questions

    • Do you smoke? If you are caught, you are immediately terminated even if you don't do it at work.   Answer Question
    • Do you have experience with communications?   Answer Question

    Reasons for Declining

    Pay not good enough and did not like their employment ethics. Also do to medicaid and medicare changes, it is possible it will really affect their business.
