Mission: Our mission is to increase the use and impact of quality in response to the diverse needs of the world.
I worked at American Society for Quality full-time (More than 5 years)
I got a lot of experience and worked with really nice people. Loved the community I worked with. I got to try a lot of new initiatives. I learned a lot and they have a big client base so I was able to do more than if I worked for another non-profit.
Meetings were insane. You spent most of your time going to them. Men were often promoted over women to the highest level positions.
Advice to Management
hire more people of color, women for upper level positions.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at American Society for Quality (Milwaukee, WI) in May 2014.
You apply for the job through there website. you begin with a phone interview and 2 face to face interviews. The interview was pleasant but if you get a 2nd interview you got the job during teh second interview they will give you a contingent offer.
ASQ will host our annual International Standards Conference November 14-15 in Pittsburgh. For more information, visit http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vIbWu.
