I have been working at American Specialty Health full-time
Good benefits, work environment, co workers
401 k match is a bit too little
I applied online. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at American Specialty Health (San Diego, CA).
I applied online and received a voicemail inviting me in for an interview but then...nothing happened. I called back three times, left numerous voice mails, and was never able to get back in contact with HR. Months later I received a blanket e-mail that was obviously BCC'd to all of the other applicants thanking me for applying but they'll be going forward with someone else. I responded to that e-mail asking what happened, reiterating the aforementioned story. The HR woman who initially left me the voicemail got back to me (finally) and said right after leaving that voicemail, they moved into the final stages with another candidate (?) and she was getting "caught up" from the holidays, otherwise she would have messaged me earlier. They reached out to me in November for the job, and this conversation was happening in late January. None of this makes much sense at all and I'm just attributing it to poor management. However, given the universally negative customer reviews of American Specialty Health, I think that perhaps they were doing me a favor. Plus, I won a couple of awards for my videography not too long after this event, so...thanks?
