I found out a difficult patient I cared for died. This person told me a week after I met them they wished I die. No, I didn’t abuse this person. I tried everything within my job description and outside to help them. The patient was unhappy with the primary caregivers in their family and I the punching bag.

What fall alert items do you think work best? My grandmother bless her...keeps having falls and we are states away. She refuses to wear the pendant because it is so obvious and she just doesn't feel old yet (her falls say otherwise). I thought about an apple watch.. they have fall technology but does it truly catch falls often? Is it easy for someone elderly to learn to use? I'm an android lover here...and to my knowledge androids don't have fall detection.

Does your healthcare facility ever use therapy dogs? I think mine does but in a limited capacity. I get so much comfort from my pets at home.
