    Approves of CEO

I have been working at Ameritech College of Healthcare full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Ameritech has an amazing unlimited time off policy. They are also very understanding and considerate of their employees. Management has been making great changes to help the company be more employee centered. For example they have a great tuition payment benefits. I think the best part of Ameritechs management is that they have an open door policy. If needed you can walk directly into your manager's office, or even the CEO's office and talk to them about concerns.

    Cons

Some employees are very self centered. They don't understand or are willing to understand why changes are made. And they don't know how to advocate for themselves effectively.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what your doing! You have been doing a fantastic JOB!

    Part-time Instructor Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Provo, UT
    Declined Offer
    Negative Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Ameritech College of Healthcare (Provo, UT) in January 2014.

    Interview

Applied online and received email about 2 weeks later. Entire process took about a month. Interview with Program Director first and then Associate Dean. Standard interview fare but both seemed pretty inept at candidate interviewing. They both spent a lot of time discussing problems with faculty. Student impressions left a lot to be desired and it seemed class sizes fluctuated pretty heavily with summer start dates having ~4-5 students and the rest of the dates hovering around 1-2.

    Interview Questions

    • Complete amateur hour. Interviewed with program director who asked multiple questions about religion and family...then again this is Provo.   Answer Question

    Reasons for Declining

Seemed amateur even for a career college. Both interviewers left a very poor impression about the level of training they have and have received on the job. Seemed to have a lot of turnover among faculty and poor facilities.
