I have been working at Amlin full-time
A good charismatic CEO.
A few very talented people, industry leading in their fields
Relaxed working environment and hours
Very poor senior management in some departments
Promotion to *senior management club* based on brown nosing, and not ability, understanding, or talent.
Generally senior management are not sufficiently qualified to make decisions they are involved in, and do not make independent decisions.
Too many contractors and consultants; these people are not incentivised to complete projects well, not quickly.
Advice to Management
Stop using consultants and contractors.
Identify in-house talent and give them the freedom to develop processes and system.
Ensure you reward people who work hard well or they will leave and you will be left with just talentless staff.
I applied online. I interviewed at Amlin (London, England (UK)) in February 2017.
Senior Underwriting and HR present.HR question competency based. Second half with Underwriter more relaxed questions. Lasted about 40 minutes. Interviewers made me feel relaxed and I did not feel that much under pressure.
