At Amneal, we view the world as our family.
Amneal employees around the world understand that every product we develop, manufacture and distribute is destined for someone’s loved one. It is this shared belief that drives our commitment to provide greater access to high-quality, affordable medicines and improve the quality of life for patients around the world.
Our relentless pursuit of quality, integrity and value are intrinsic to the decisions we make about our company, our people and our future. This steadfast focus on these values has guided our journey to becoming one of the leading generic pharmaceutical companies in the United States.
Across the company, there is a strong sense of family values, treating each other with respect and encouraging the very best in everyone. This philosophy has inspired employees to go the extra mile and take accountability for the work that we do. We believe that we are forever accountable to the people who use our products, our customers, and our business partners. Amneal not only embraces the responsibility that comes with maintaining our reputation among our stakeholders for quality products, we also thrive under it. More importantly, we never forget that no matter how large the company may become, our legacy and strength of character lay firmly in the hands of each and every member of the Amneal family.
Amneal Pharmaceuticals – building on the family tradition of quality and integrity.
Amneal Pharmaceuticals was founded in Paterson, New Jersey in 2002 by the Patel family, whose ambition was to achieve entrepreneurial success through hard work, determination and a steadfast focus on quality and integrity.
Jointly led by Chintu and Chirag Patel, Amneal has quickly grown to become a formidable player in the generics industry through strategic acquisitions and significant investments in research, manufacturing and distribution capabilities. The continuous reinvestment in the business and ability to attract talented people allowed the company to develop strong in-house capabilities in research and manufacturing, particularly focused on high barrier-to-entry products such as transdermals, injectables, inhalation, and topical products.
Today, Amneal ranks as the seventh largest generic manufacturer in the United States, by prescription volume, and is the fastest-growing global generics company according to IMS Health. The company now has more than 4,000 employees with offices in Australia, Europe and Asia. As Amneal continues to experience unprecedented growth, its focus on quality, superb service levels, and building strong relationships holds firm and stands as testament to the strength of its reputation.
Amneal Pharmaceuticals is a member of the Amneal Alliance – a dynamic group of progressive and independent companies leveraging their expertise and resources to bring pioneering healthcare technologies to prevent and treat life-threatening medical conditions. Other members of the Amneal Alliance include Asana Biosciences, Kashiv Pharmaceuticals, Prolong Pharmaceuticals and Therapeutic Proteins International.

I have been working at Amneal Pharmaceuticals full-time (More than a year)
The people are incredibly friendly at the location I work at in Piscataway. People I don't even know always stop and say "good morning" or "hello" which is nice. Also, we work really hard but we take pride in being the fastest growing generic pharmaceutical company in the business. Does that mean long hours sometimes? Yes. However, management is right there with you working the overtime. I've read some of the reviews here and I am not of Indian decent. I have NEVER felt like I was an outsider. They treat me like part of the family and I've enjoyed learning so much about other cultures. I see it as a good thing. Benefits are good and start from date of hire. The most important and enjoyable part of my job is everything I have learned through hands on experience. This is not a job, it's a career.
The only "con" I can think of - I wish I had more vacation days.
Advice to Management
The recognition awards are always appreciated when my colleagues and I go above and beyond. Maybe a little more vacation time?
Interview process was poorly managed. Was scheduled for an interview in one location and was then sent to another location to do the interview. Hiring management was not friendly. I felt like I was being interrogated.
