Diversity Programs & Initiatives

Amplitude believes that fostering a culture of inclusion, grounded in equity and diversity, broadens perspectives, engages employees, encourages team building, and helps create a positive environment in which to work and grow. We recognize that people of diverse backgrounds — including women, people of color, LGBTQ individuals and beyond — are underrepresented and undervalued within the tech industry. At Amplitude, we are challenging the norms and challenging ourselves to foster a truly inclusive culture.

How is diversity at Amplitude?

...A basic skill of a good manager is being able to offer unique management advice/support to individual team members rather than using a blanket approach for everyone on the team, writing off anyone who doesn't work well with their basic corporate approach which fails to consider the diversity of their team/humanity...Read More

  1. Customer Success Architect Interview

    Anonymous Employee in United States

    Difficult Interview
    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Amplitude (United States)

    Interview

Intro call with HR (behavioral), call with team member (high level), short technical assessment, and then comes the 3 hour gauntlet which is 4 sessions (Scenarios, Presentation on what you would do in a particular situation, making recommendations of a piece of software you know and how to improve it and lastly an exercise with amplitude charts so you know how to read a graph).

I thought I did well in all phases but I guess I was wrong.

Some advice: People who interview have lives and jobs and might be a good thing to break this final round into multiple days.

Also, doesn’t seem like this company is good with providing feedback to candidates on what they can improve on or any understanding on why they weren’t offered the role.

Don’t assume just because a candidate applies for a role that they understand all the lingo of your product. Sure it’s the candidates responsibility to do a bit of research but a good candidate should be able to learn on the job, like the majority of CS software based roles.
