Technical Account Manager
Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

ProsVery proactive about training and ensuring the competence of their employees, rather than hiring just "billers". Nice to be in a small company for once and not just a number with a clearance.
ConsNot as many opportunities, but I got hired into a job I wanted and was looking for.
Advice to ManagementLess internal emails about employee activities, lot of emails to go through.
I applied through college or university. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at AnaVation (United States) in Oct 2021
InterviewInterview via google meet with 2 people. Majority of the interview was going through and answering questions about my resume and experiences. Be prepared to answer behavioural questions as well. Overall a good experience and it will feel more like a talking session rather than an interview, they really want to make sure there is a culture and personality fit above all. Interview lasted 1 hour.
