I have been working at Anthropologie part-time (Less than a year)

Great staff who are all team-oriented and client-focused. I developed both soft and technical skills and it is a great way to develop confidence with client interaction.

There is quite a constant change in management, which can be tough to work with.

    Part Time Associate Interview

    Anonymous Employee in Birmingham, AL
    Accepted Offer
    Positive Experience
    Easy Interview

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Anthropologie (Birmingham, AL) in October 2015.

I applied at About two or three hours later, I got an email asking if I could meet for an interview the following day (Wednesday) or Thursday. I agreed to the Thursday interview at 12pm. The interviewer was super sweet and the interview seemed really conversational. Actually, the only thing she asked me was, "Tell me about yourself". After that, she started explaining when I would start and train and all that. She asked my availability and I handed her my updated resume along with my printed availability. Then, she explained how the store operated and how everyone that works there is different. Honestly, if I hadn't had so many questions to ask, the interview would have been over in like 5 minutes. She ended the interview by saying that I'd hear from her by later that evening. When I got back to my full-time job at 12:41, I had an offer letter!! :)

She seemed impressed with how organized I was, so I'd advise any future interviewees to COME PREPARED! Bring your resume and availability along with any specific days you would need off. Come with questions!! I could tell she was also impressed by some of the questions I had because it showed my long-term interest in the company. I asked some of the following:

--What does it take to be a successful employee at Anthropologie?
--How can you describe the typical day at the store?
--I know the store opens at X time, but what time do you all get here? When do you leave?
--Are the employees here satisfied with their jobs?
    --Does everyone get along?

Also, read some of the reviews from the store at which you will be applying. Go in prepared to discuss some of the more impressive reviews you came across. Talk about how you trust in the quality of the clothing, and how confident you would be selling the high-quality merchandise to customers because you could assure them that it would last.
