I have been working at Aperian Global full-time

    Pros

Excellent place to show initiative and take on more responsbility, develop leadership and cross-cultural sills. Employees deeply believe in the work they are doing, and are all motivated and skilled at their jobs. Values work/life balance and flexibility.

    Cons

As with any smaller company, there are fewer resources and a less structured career path. This can work well for some people, but not for everyone.

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Aperian Global (Oakland, CA) in October 2017.

    Interview

Initial contact and phone screening via an in-house recruiter, followed by a video chat with 3 people. Product person had a good command of the role and product. IT person seemed way out of date - not up on how web development is organized. Followup experience was terrible. They were poor in terms of no communication, and one wonders about the speed of their decision making process. My conclusion was that they are not in the 1st, 2nd, or even 3rd tier of web properties that anyone competent should take seriously as a place to work.
