I have been working at Apogee Medical Group full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great company that helps educate employees with updated pointers and bulletins, allows staff to work out a flexible schedule, self-sustaining work environment, great team building and leadership opportunities within each site.

    Cons

Lack of advancement opportunities within the company, high turnover rates with employees in certain facilities.

    Advice to Management

Increase opportunities for workplace advancement, eliminate quarterly bonuses by increasing all staff in hourly wages and award a yearly bonus to the top 10 programs with a 99.40% accuracy and productivity rate, work closely with each team to increase HCAHPS at their respective hospitals.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Apogee Medical Group (Phoenix, AZ) in December 2011.

    Interview

First step was a very short phone interview with two people from Human Resources. Almost no questions were asked about my experience; it seemed to be much more a measurement of how I might fit in to their culture. Next step was a one on one interview with Director of Travel (individual who would be my boss). Asked questions from a sheet of paper, very standardized and general career related questions. Final interview was with Director of Travel and his supervisor (company controller). Much more focused on specifics of the position, what would I do in a specific instance. Did not get a great vibe from the company controller; she seemed a bit cold and distant during the process, though cordial.

    Interview Questions

    • How would you explain to a client that you did not book them on a preferred carrier as you were able to find a lower price on another carrier?   Answer Question
    • What benefits are offered for the position (question from me)?   1 Answer
