There’s no time like the New Year for a fresh start! Whether you are a naturally organized person or not, being organized can make or break your time in the classroom! We all want our classrooms to be a comfortable place for both ourselves and our students. A place where everyone can learn, grow and enjoy time together. The challenge is that we are often so busy with things to do, that it’s hard to feel organized or find the time to give our classrooms an organizational overhaul. In order to make the organization feel attainable, start small and then work on bigger areas of your classroom as you go. Every little bit makes a difference. Try to accomplish one task each day, and in a week or so, you should have your classroom in tip-top shape. If you are ready to start the New Year off right and kick your organization into high gear, try some of these simple tips and strategies today.

It goes without saying that at some point in the school year activities will end quicker than you initially planned for, it will start to rain on your way outside, a few students will finish snack long before the rest of the group, or you will have a really small group of students for the last 30 minutes before their parents come for pick up. If you find yourself in any of these situations and need to keep your students busy, these filler activities may be just what you need. When you are organizing your paperwork at the beginning of the school year, print these activities out and include them in your substitute teacher information and forms. If you ever have a substitute – they will be grateful to have these simple activities available.

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Apollo After School (United States)

    Interview

Simple, questions were somewhat abstract (think on your feet type questions to see if you would be a good fit working with this age group). It was done over skype as this company is based in Chicago.
