Quick Facts:
The Virtuous Cycle:
Today, organizational growth and success requires that you provide world-class experiences for both your customers and workers. Yet too often, legacy systems and processes along with the antiquated way traditional service partners work, makes transforming those experiences an overwhelming challenge — resulting in getting stuck and settling for the status quo. Appirio delivers a different experience. Our free-thinking consultants — many of whom are practitioners themselves — challenge conventional thinking to lead your organization in the creation of next-generation Worker and Customer Experience by first creating actionable strategies to deliver results quickly, and then helping you adapt to a new experience-driven era over time.
We believe Worker and Customer Experience are intrinsically linked and must be addressed together. By leveraging cloud technology, new ways of working like crowdsourcing, and using solution accelerators to rapidly build and integrate solutions, customers can create both amazing Worker and Customer Experiences that drive profitability and growth.

Kimberly Heger, Head of Global Worker Experience
Kim spent the first 14 years of her career in corporate HR roles, starting in career development, talent acquisition, employee relations, wellness, and then learning and development. Her focus has always been on the people side of the business. In 2007, she left Corporate America to join a boutique consulting firm called Knowledge Infusion, and leveraged her background in HR to help organizations develop Talent Management strategies with an emphasis on people, process, and technology. In 2012, Appirio acquired Knowledge Infusion and thus her Appirio adventure had begun. She had many successful years in a new practice called Change Enablement, that focused on developing change management strategies and plans to ensure the successful adoption of new ways of working. After building a successful practice and team of 20+ consultants, she wanted to do something different. With the acquisition, a new position was created which Kim stepped into as our Sr. Director of Culture & Change!

herria Reid, Alliance Manager
Sherria Reid has an educational background in Computer Science and Public Health where her dream was to become a pediatric cardiologist. Although that was the goal, she started her career in telecommunications at Nortel in a hybrid engineering and sales manager role. When Nortel was acquired and Sherria was laid off, she took advantage of the opportunity by taking a four month sabbatical where she then got engaged and went on a lengthy vacation. What a great time! She then went on and spent ten years at a small, private software and services company called RWD. For a decade, she worked hand-in-hand with the SAP education and quality risk mitigation in a variety of roles including: pre-sales engineer, channel manager and a direct sales manager. Sherria started with Appirio in March 2017 and ultimately chose Appirio because of the culture and transparency. She was truly looking for a honest employer and after being referred by an old co-worker, she gave it a try. With all her years surfing through Glassdoor, she never saw a higher approval rating for a CEO. In order to truly understand how Chris Barbin obtained such a high approval rating she asked him directly. He shared it was his transparent and appreciative attitude he continually strives to demonstrate to all Appirians.

I have been working at Appirio full-time (More than a year)
Pros
Our Leadership is passionate about a great worker experience for Appirians. We use the best internal tools to create frictionless, collaborative teams. Since joining 2 years ago, I have been a part of project teams that have created the best Client work in my career. Virtual workplace creates the need for Client travel, but it also has a better work life balance.
Cons
There has been some turnover since the Wipro acquisition, but those who have stayed are committed and energized.
Advice to Management
Stay transparent and authentic to who you are. You have a vision for Appirio...don't let the Wipro influence overwrite that.

Application
I applied online. The process took 5+ weeks. I interviewed at Appirio (Indianapolis, IN) in March 2018.
Interview
The interview process took well over a month, but it was very organized. Expect phone or video interviews with a recruiter, a culture fit interview, a technical competency interview, and likely an interview with the hiring manager. After the remote interviews, I was offered an opportunity to visit the Indianapolis office for a round of four in-person interviews. This was a great opportunity as it gave me the chance to get a better understanding of the company culture.
Overall, a positive interview process, but it went a little longer than expected. I can see the potential to lose qualified candidates who are looking for a quicker process.
