At Applebee's® and Franchisee Restaurants, we know that a diverse culture means more than just recognizing our differences. A truly diverse culture allows you the opportunity and freedom to be yourself. Applebee's® and Franchisee Restaurants are committed to celebrating diversity and to fostering a diverse working community that reflects the vibrant neighborhoods that surround our restaurants.
Applebee’s is dedicated to Being a Good Neighbor. As a brand, we believe it is our responsibility to make a positive impact on the communities around us and to align with organizations that mirror our core values. Throughout the year, each of our franchisees demonstrates that commitment by hosting hundreds of events or fundraisers in their restaurants, whether to help our local heroes and military, support our children and schools, raise funds for local charities that help our neighbors or even to help their own team members who may be in need. Together, our Applebee’s family donates millions of dollars and thousands of volunteer hours to Being a Good Neighbor.
On a national scale, Applebee’s supports our neighborhood heroes each Veterans Day by welcoming veterans and active duty service men and women into restaurants for a free meal. Applebee’s was one of the first and largest casual dining brands to provide America’s heroes with a free meal, and since 2008, our franchisees have served 8.3 million free meals on Veterans Day.
Over the past 13 years, Applebee's restaurants from the east to west coast have teamed together to raise a total of $8 million for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation to help fund childhood cancer research and family support programs. This past year alone, participating Applebee’s franchisees raised more than $1.3 million. Applebee’s is proud to be an original supporter of the Foundation, since it began in 2005.
I worked at Applebee's full-time (More than 5 years)
Flexible schedule, great managers, best job I've had, company truly takes care of their employees, they do offer benefits and a 401k plan.
As a server, your income is solely based off of tips. If people don't tip, you don't make any money. So the inconsistent in pay is really the only con but that comes with any serving job usually.
I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at Applebee's (Surprise, AZ) in February 2015.
A call from HR to set up a 30 minute phone interview the following day. Phone interview only lasted 15 minutes. Very simple questions. Received a call the following day to set up a interview with the area director. Met at one of their restaurants with the ADO for the interview that lasted for about two hours and then an hour shadowing the GM. Very simple, easy interview process
They gave me what I asked for
