I have been working at Applied Research Associates (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Excellent internship program with a lot of opportunity to learn new skills. Pay is competetive, benefits and retirement plans are very good. Management is mostly hands off, lots of freedom.

    Cons

Corporate culture is a bit stuffy and old school, though it seems to be getting better. Corporate IT is awful. Cooperation among divisions is poor.

    Advice to Management

Stop the interdivisional competition, listen to what your loyal employees have to say.

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Applied Research Associates.

    Interview

The interview process consisted of an easy going over the phone interview followed up by an in person interview with two people. Overall, the experience calm and friendly but took a month or so to get a final answer.
