Pros
Being a fully remote company, A8 has a phenomenal culture. They invest in their people, both financially and professionally. Everyone is paid fair market value for their work and encouraged to improve themselves continually. The work itself is easy enough to not be overwhelming, but challenging enough to be rewarding and fruitful.
Cons
If I had to choose a con, and this is a big stretch, it would be the unlimited PTO. Companies offering unlimited PTO have shown that employees actually take less time off than if they had a hard limit to use up each year. That said, Aptitude 8 actively encourages employees to take time off. They also monitor capacity to see who might be getting burnt out, taking steps to alleviate that person's workload and stress.

Interview
The hiring process is clearly outlined on their website, so applicants can know what to expect. I received an email fairly quickly after applying for this role. Then I had an initial Zoom meeting with the Director of People Ops.
For this particular role, they were looking for someone with more experience than I had. However, they shared this feedback so I knew what to expect.
