I have been working at Archdiocese of Seattle full-time (More than 3 years)
Family culture, amazing work/life balance and everyone is so welcoming and encouraging. There is low turnover because most people are here to support the mission of the church and don't want to leave once they experience the work environment. The benefits are amazing! 13 paid holidays - and then even extras just because, generous paid time off and health and welfare benefits. Very competitive salaries too.
Not a lot of upward mobility depending on what department you are in, but if you are high performing and motivated to find an opportunity to contribute at a higher level leadership is open to finding ways to encourage development and movement.
Advice to Management
Keep encouraging employees to balance work and family responsibilities! As a parent of 3, I so appreciate the ability to come to work knowing that I have the flexibility to take time off to be with my family as needed.
I interviewed at Archdiocese of Seattle in May 2014.
This was a group interview. The process was comfortable and interactive. Interview team really wanted to know about my skills and qualifications and took an interest in learning about how I would contribute to the department.
