Legacy of Innovation

Founded in 1991 as Hughes Software Systems, a research and development subsidiary of Hughes Networks Systems, Aricent has transformed industries. In 1992, we pioneered the first ground-to-air phone call. We designed, developed and delivered the first ever commercial mobile high-definition solution in 2008. Our engineers created some of the world’s first Femtocell, WiMAX and LTE solutions.
