I have been working at Aronson full-time
-Very good work-life balance
-People are easy-going, great with work with
-Can't comp over-time meals which is out of sync with industry standards (but they do provide meals during Jan-Apr busy season.
-Location isn't that great for business development because it's pretty far from Tysons/DC (great reverse commute though for DC/MoCo residents).
Advice to Management
-I think more effort needs to be made to get in front of potential clients, setting up client meetings, lunches, events, etc, even though the location makes it more difficult.
-Allow over-time meals to be comped year-round (it's billed out the client anyways so it doesn't cost the company anything and it's standard practice at just about every other accounting firm)
I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Aronson (Rockville, MD) in October 2016.
I applied through my university's career website. Someone from HR will call to screen, ask why Aronson, why a regional versus big four, other basic questions. If you do well, you'll do a Skype interview with a manager - more basic behavioral questions. After that (if you do well) is an office tour with 3 interviews - again more basic behavioral stuff. They are very open to questions. By my last interview, I had been milked dry of any questions I could've asked.
They were very flexible with my other offers in terms of timeline. Competitive salary and benefits. Loved the office, the people, and general atmosphere.
