    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Array BioPharma full-time

Talented scientists, one of the last remaining biotech/pharmaceutical companies in the area.

The current culture has a more "big pharma" feel and open, critical evaluation of data is no longer appreciated or encouraged.

    Difficult Interview

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Array BioPharma (Boulder, CO).

The first contact was a 30 minute phone interview where I provided further details about my resume and experience. The next step was an all day interview starting at 9 am with a powerpoint presentation followed by a series of 30 minute interviews including a lunch and dinner. I thought that the interview process was way too extensive for a Lab Tech position.

    Interview Questions

    • The experience questions were pretty straightforward. This is a very intelligent group of people, so be sure you know your stuff! I think as long as you are knowledgeable about your research, the most difficult questions will be the typical HR "tell me about a time when you didn't get along with..." questions.   Answer Question

Not much room for negotiations. You really have to be prepared to press them!
