October, 2018, Ascension Wisconsin became the first in the country to complete the full adoption of the Ascension brand!
“Two years ago, we embarked on a journey to become one, unified health system across Wisconsin to ensure the people we care for receive the right care, at the right place, at the right time,” said Bernie Sherry, Ascension Healthcare senior vice president and Ascension Wisconsin Ministry Market executive. “The new signs have been installed, but more importantly is the work reflected through the collaboration of our associates and physicians in order to best meet the needs of the communities we are privileged to serve.”
Southeast Wisconsin facilities, part of the former Columbia St. Mary’s and Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare system, are now unified under the Ascension brand. They joined Ministry Health Care in the north and Affinity Health System in the Fox Valley, The four health systems now make up Ascension Wisconsin, operating 24 hospital campuses and more than 100 related health care facilities from Racine to Eagle River.
December 2018, Ascension Wisconsin Spirit Medical Transport unveiled its new "Spirit 3" airplane — the first fixed wing base in north central Wisconsin. The airplane will enhance continuity of care while moving patients from one hospital to another across longer distances.
“This new fixed wing service supports our mission of meeting the needs of patients in the rural setting and challenging weather of north central Wisconsin when seconds count,” said Ted Ryan, Director, Ascension Wisconsin Spirit Medical Transport. “This essential element adds to our comprehensive approach of providing exceptional critical care medical services in the communities we serve, and beyond.”

Advice to Management
Continue to be "hands on". We feel as contributors to the Organization's success.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Ascension Wisconsin (Milwaukee, WI) in August 2016.
Typical interview questions, then I was asked to complete a short typing test. The process was quick and smooth, I was scheduled for an in person interview at Wisconsin heart hospital location within a couple weeks. The overall process was fast, but I wasn't offered a job at the same location I interviewed at.
