I have been working at Ashley HomeStore Canada – The Dufresne Group full-time (Less than a year)
The accounting department staff really cares about store operations running smoothly and effectively.
Human Resources are well informed and involved in the hiring process and benefit effectiveness.
Little to no communication between departments and stores relating to adverising events.
Quantity is a higher standard instead of quality of the product or presentation of product..
Advice to Management
When acquiring other companies, include them in all decisions when it invoilves their employees or ways of doing business. The communication should be with the existing management and then allow them to pass it on instead of waiting till the day something starts. You never know their accounting or computing system maybe different than yours at the time. Sale events or specials may need to be modify for that system before the sale or event can be run effectively.

You were told a bunch of information and then when you get to the training. They tell you different information like when your days off are going to be and when and how you’ll actually get a raise which is pretty much impossible to do
