    Marketing Project Manager Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Alpharetta, GA

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Ashton Woods Homes (Alpharetta, GA).

    Interview

The interview process included a phone interview follow by an In-Person Interview. The phone interview was standard, asking about past experience.
Unfortunately, the in-person interview with the hiring manager was not a good experience and reflects poorly on the company.
The hiring manager was not prepared for or trained for interviews. In the course of 1 hour and 25 minutes "interview", she asked me a total of 2 questions even after asking if she had any questions. She joked that she was told that she should talk less in interviews.
The 1 hour and 25 minutes consisted of the hiring manager speaking about her personal life and family, how she did not like candidates that liked flexibility, how she was very controlling and other negative aspects of her personality, and her experience. During the interview, she joked saying this was like a therapy session.
Unfortunately, it was not a good experience due to the hiring manager.
