I worked at Asian Private Banker full-time (Less than a year)
A unique and fun working culture - APB is home to a great bunch of people. The company has a flat organisational structure where everyone is able to share thoughts freely. It's fast growing and the opportunity to learn new skills is big. Mainly though it's the people that make it fantastic.
At times it can be stressful, although management recognises hard work/any overtime put in and is very cognisant of keeping staff happy.
I applied through other source. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Asian Private Banker.
I was contacted on LinkedIn by the HR representative. I was there twice for short interviews.
The HR person gave a very unprofessional image by providing misleading information on his/her qualifications and background as s/he is saying that s/he completed studies from two top overseas universities but in fact s/he was there for short-term courses). I was doubting if this is the normal face of the company.
The company did not come back to me as they promised. I understand it is somehow a common practise for large groups but I am not sure this is normally how APB do things. But since I have other engagements, I did not make follow ups. Overall, the experience was not positive and disappoint me by how they handle the interactions with candidates. Apart from the unsatisfied experience, the company has quite a strong edge as it is growing very rapidly in the region as it reports very niche private banking industry information. Reporters could gain insights into the markets in Asia and be remunerated well.
