More than thirty years ago, a group of innovative students at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) made the transition from academics to business to help found Aspen Technology and change the world of process optimization. AspenTech continues to work with the leading universities of the world through our university recruitment program.

The university graduates represent the next generation of AspenTech experts – high-potential technical and business talent who will learn from and complement our highly experienced teams, which include a wide range of roles. The goal of the program is to create the right blend of seasoned professionals and new talent, with an eye toward the future.

    There are some extremely talented individuals working for Aspen. The product sells itself. Very laid back atmosphere besides quarter end (its sales)


    too many layers, change comes slow, salary could be more competitive as you move up which causes many to seek more lucrative opportunities. They could save a lot of time and money if they compensated tenured employees more. Marketing is a mess, does a poor job of communicating value of the products to customers over the website.

    Advice to Management

    Pay your employees more to eliminate turnover! great company, amazing product. Invest more in Sales, and marketing. If you can make the value of each tool more clearcut, then Aspen will drive much more business

    I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at AspenTech in September 2015.


    First round with hiring manager, recruiter and another manager. Second round with Senior Directors, HR and Executive sponsor. Extremely open and clear interview process. People were passionate about the company and what they do. Lots of change going on as the company is investing for the future

    Reasons for Declining

    Had multiple offers that came in a little higher on pay and Aspen did not negotiate
