I have been working at Aspyr Media full-time
The company is great at keeping it's employees on the payroll (at least within the last 5 years). People are all very friendly. Company owners work hard and care about the well being of their employees.
There is little to no upward mobility for most employees. Raises are not given yearly, instead bonuses are given based on company performance. Office location is not centrally located. Pay is low compared to the same positions at other similar firms.
Advice to Management
Change the pay scale to reflect that of other competitive firms, and focus on content growth in order to offset the increased cost. Stop keeping dead-weight employees on board.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took a week. I interviewed at Aspyr Media (Austin, TX).
Interviewing with Aspyr was like talking with family. Causal and laid back environment, yet very focused on creating great gaming products. It's my hope that I have the opportunity to cross paths with Aspyr in my professional career.
