    Pros

great management, fun work, good people to work with, management makes it very easy to schedule vacation and is usually pretty flexible

    Cons

less than average pay, lack of opportunity, reducing benefits/hours due to bad economy, frustrating because I have to depend on people who are incompetent

    Advice to Management

If you pay people better they will stick around for a longer time. I know the economy sucks, but you can't expect to keep quality people with the current pay scale.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Associated Pension Consultants (Chico, CA) in February 2009.

    Interview

I had another offer to work at a different place, so APC rushed me through the interviewing process. They worked with me so that I could get an answer back to my other offer. One of the interviewers tried to intimidate me about how much information they need to learn there... But other than that I thought that the interviewers were pretty laid back.

    Interview Questions

    • If your old job that you were laid off from offered you your job back, would you take it?   Answer Question

    Negotiation

I didn't negotiate since I just needed a job. APC had had to cut back quite a bit at that time, so asking for more pay was pretty much out of the question.
