I worked at AstraZeneca full-time (More than 10 years)
Culture, cooperation, collaborative efforts, focused goals, great transparency and communication, ability to develop and work cross-functionally for personal and peer development.
The amazing culture did not begin to maturate until the most recent decade which caused for the facility to became outdated over the years to the point where bringing in new products/technologies was not cost beneficial thus causing the site to close (among other business reasons).
Advice to Management
Keep fostering that incredible culture of employee empowerment and focused customer service and cross-functional collaboration with a common goal in any future endeavors so that the industry continues to grow and exponentially efficient rates as witnessed in over a decade at AZ.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at AstraZeneca in November 2011.
An out-sourced employment coordinator contacted me to schedule an interview. After meeting with him, the next phase of the process was a panel interview where four managers interviewed me. Two of the managers asked behavioral questions, based on past experiences. The other two managers appeared to be inexperienced at interviewing and had no follow-up questions. The managers appeared to disagree as to the next steps, the qualifications of the individuals they were searching for, etc.
If you have similar experience, ask about additional vacation policy; inquire about hiring bonus. Otherwise, nothing unusual.
