We’re tech professionals. But our passion is for the people who use it.
On one hand, Asurion is a tech company with more bells and whistles, gadgets and cutting-edge technology than you can imagine. But we’re all about people. And it’s why we focus our collective philanthropic efforts on helping people- in a program called Compassion Forward. Through it, we support our own team members and those in our communities by partnering with charitable organizations that help kids through the power of education.
We keep your life running. We help get younger lives started.
The way we see it, all kids should have access to the educational opportunities that are the building blocks to successful lives. In the real world, things don’t always work that way. That’s why we work with organizations that are making a difference in the lives of students for the long term.
On a national level, our partners in these efforts are Teach for America and KIPP Academy. However, we also have partnerships with local organizations in each of our communities.
We take this commitment a step farther by supporting team members who volunteer their time or
talents to organizations that fit our mission. In fact, we work to match Asurion people––with the
right skills and the right amount of time––with the needs of the communities in which we operate.
Life doesn’t come with directions. That’s why we’re here to help.
As part of our continuing commitment to the Compassion Forward mission, Asurion also gives direct financial support to charitable organizations that match our mission. financial support to charitable organizations that align with our mission.
The company offers challenging work with a lot of different cutting edge technologies so work never gets boring. Asurion provides opportunities to learn and develop new technologies, and I’ve worked on a number of projects that involved unique software development solutions that were pioneering in the field. We often work directly with vendors and partners to develop new solutions that are later provided to the general public so that other companies can leverage the same solutions in the future. The company provides a healthy collaborative environment, and solid opportunities for career and personal growth.
At times the pace of the work can be a challenge in itself where deadlines can be unrealistic. This has tapered in recent years, and this was more of an issue when the company growth rate was tripling year over year. The growth rate is still very strong, but it is at a much more manageable pace this days.
Advice to Management
Always allow flexibility in the work stream for unplanned work
I applied online. The process took 4+ months. I interviewed at Asurion (Nashville, TN) in April 2015.
I interviewed with four different people over the course of about 5 hours. The people ranged from senior manager to Vice President. They were very professional, and personable. The recruitment team was fantastic, very helpful and friendly. The overall experience was positive and made me want to work for the company.
