I worked at Atkinson-Baker full-time (Less than a year)
-PTO, friendly atmosphere with good people, benefits offered (Medical, Life, Vision, etc.) free parking, perfect location with lots of places to eat
-Trust in abilities with the opportunity to get cross-trained
-Good starting pay for an entry level position
-Weekends off with a good schedule
-Pay isn't justifiable after you learn more positions.
If you can handle being paid the same while more is being asked of you, then you won't have a problem with this job at all!
Advice to Management
Reward your employees with an increase in their salary if you cross-train him/her into various positions. That will definitely improve the chances of having them stay to work instead of having them pursue and end up choosing the company that will value them more.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Atkinson-Baker (Glendale, CA) in January 2017.
The interview is not even an Interview. You are being told to write a hand written letter in paper you can't even use the computer in the cubicle you are sitting in, which I thought was absurd. Second, they give you two quizzes with shapes and dots in the shapes, and circle the ones with the dots. I believe this company is not looking to hire but rather getting studies of people looking for a job they are probably getting money doing it. The job posting has been on for two years straight non stop every month it pops up in Craigslist. DON'T GET USED! At the end of the day if you go you lose and they win.
