Company Updates

  • From the southeastern United States tornado outbreak of 2011 to the surprise tornado in Wetumpka, Alabama this year, Atlantic has been providing local, state, and federal agencies with vital data within hours and days of impact. On January 19th, 2019 the cities of Wetumpka and Eclectic in Elmore County, Alabama, experienced the wrath of an EF-2 tornado with little to no warning. Atlantic was quickly tasked with providing digital orthophotography (0.5 ft. GSD pixel resolution) of the 18 linear miles throughout central Elmore County, following the tornado path, as well as the estimated damage swath supplied by the National Weather Service (NWS). From flight to final deliverables, we accomplished this task in one week and in turn provided government officials the crucial data needed for recovery efforts. “Working with Atlantic has been absolutely wonderful. They actually do what they say they’re going to do and they have absolutely exceeded expectations on this [project]. They were able to knock this out and it’s been a great benefit to the county.” - Thomas (Lee) Macon IV ACTA - Rev

I have been working at Atlantic full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible work hours, management is friendly and has a genuine interest in helping everyone work towards success. If they see you aren't a good fit in a certain role or you are wanting to do something different they are good at doing what they can to accommodate the employee. They work hard to meet the requirements of each and every client.

    Cons

Assignments are often intermingled and you have to multitask and adjust to ever changing deadlines. Adaptation to constant change isn't for everyone.

    Advice to Management

Continue to engage with staff by way of surveys for feedback. This has been an excellent strategy. Continue to demonstrate you care about each and every employee, no matter how large or small the role.
