Stephen is the Chief Executive Officer for Attivio, where he previously served as COO. With over fifteen years of experience as a top executive within enterprise software, Stephen has a proven ability to build and lead high performing organizations. Prior to Attivio, Stephen spent nearly six years as the President and Chief Revenue Officer for RAMP Holdings (formerly EveryZing) and, previously, served as the CEO of RB Search (a Reed Elsevier company). Earlier in his career, Stephen spent almost eight years at Fast Search & Transfer, where he served as General Manager. Stephen holds an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania – The Wharton School as well as a BS in Music and Marketing from Hofstra University. 


Will Johnson is the Chief Technology Officer and co-founder of Attivio. Will has an extensive background in information retrieval and analytic applications, which he has honed during his time with Attivio, FAST, and AltaVista. A graduate of MIT, Will has worked on many of the largest and most complex search applications both behind and beyond the firewall. He has been involved in all technical capacities across his career including professional services, sales engineering, solution architecture, and product development. 



Matt is the Chief Revenue Officer for Attivio. He is responsible for direct and channel sales and Attivio’s technology alliances. Prior to Attivio Matt was Chief Operating Officer of SwiftKnowledge, a web based business intelligence software company, which was acquired by SNL Financial, now part of S&P. He was Vice President of Corporate Development and General Counsel for Jackpot Rewards, where he created the company’s customer acquisition channels.

Earlier in his career Matt was VP of OEM sales for Fast Search & Transfer, where started and grew the company’s OEM business to include strategic partnerships with EMC, Symantec, Stellent, Siebel Systems, PTC and others. Matt was VP of Business Development for Virtual Iron Software, where he created technology partnerships and go-to-market channel sales strategies with Hewlett-Packard, Dell, IBM, and Intel. Matt began his career as a litigation attorney specializing in insurance and business law. He holds a BA from Boston College, and JD from Suffolk University Law School, and an MBA from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of business at Babson College. 


  As Attivio’s Chief Marketing Officer, Allyson is responsible for all brand, awareness, go-to-market, and qualification functions for the company. Previously, she held marketing and product leadership positions at early stage and emerging growth companies, both in the US and abroad, including Crowdynews, Boxever, and RAMP. Earlier in her career she spent 6 years at Boston-based LogMeIn, in a variety of product and marketing roles, and spent three years in the company’s European offices running global marketing. Allyson has a BA in English and Women’s Studies minor from the College of the Holy Cross. 



Alan is the Chief Financial Officer & General Counsel for Attivio, where he is responsible for driving key strategic growth and profitability initiatives as well as the overall financial management of Attivio . Prior to Attivio, Alan was an equity analyst at Merrill Lynch covering the software industry. In addition, Alan held strategy and business development roles at Oracle, and he was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, as well as an Attorney at Macdonald Affleck. Alan holds a BA in accounting and economics from the University of Ottawa, a JD from the University of Toronto, and an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management. Alan is also a CFA and is a member of the NY Bar. Alan lives in the Boston area and is the father of two great children.


Dorit Zilbershot is the VP of Product Management and R&D at Attivio. She sets product strategy and leads development for the Attivio Cognitive Search and Insight Platform. Dorit has more than 15 years’ experience leading software development teams. Prior to Attivio, Dorit led the Boston Informatics group of the VA in building a genomic research platform to advance personalized medicine. She previously served as a Major in the Israeli Defense Force. Dorit holds an MPA from Harvard University, M.Sc. in Medical Science from the University of Tel-Aviv and a BA in Computer Science from the Technion.


Joe Lichtman, Vice President of Managed Services at Attivio, has over 15 years of experience in managing and delivering technology products and services at market leaders such as FAST Search & Transfer and Microsoft. Most recently Joe led product management at SaaS video technology provider RAMP. At Attivio, he has led product management and technology alliances, and is currently responsible for driving Attivio’s cloud strategy. Joe holds a BA from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

    The product itself compares to, and probably exceeds all others in the space. The product team has been in search since the existence of search technology.

    The people are all great to work with. There is a real collaborative culture, and it seems that every team is full of true experts who truly care about success. Although sometimes we're required to put in lots of extra hours to achieve a goal, when it's achieved, the right people are thanked and commended, top to bottom. And sales actually likes marketing. Great place to work.


    Long sales cycles cause delays on closing deals which is frustrating, especially at the end of each quarter. It's hard to predict revenue by quarter with such a long and complicated sales cycle with the huge companies that Attivio does business with.

    Advice to Management

    Keep hiring good people with positive attitudes, that can work well with others, and have that fire inside. Organizations are built on people, and you've got good ones. With this product and the way technology is evolving, you're going places.

    I applied online. I interviewed at Attivio in July 2015.


    Phone call with a recruiter. The only advice I can give is that the recruiter who I had the phone call with needs a lot more experience in interviewing. Couldn't describe the basic details of the job and what I would be doing.

    We both saw that I would not be a fit for this position so luckily no time was wasted on either end.
