Technical Account Manager
Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. InterviewAfter applying online, a recruiter reached out to me to set up a phone screening. The first red flag was that they rescheduled several times (very last minute). Eventually, when it came time for our scheduled call, they never called me. I reached out several times asking when they were available to speak, and never heard back. Weeks later I received an generic e-mail (not even from the recruiter) letting me know that I would not be moving on. It was incredibly unprofessional and a major waste of my time. Do better and learn how to treat your candidates and their time with respect.
