In 2005, inspired by the Latin word "valere," which means "strong and of good health," we renamed the firm Avalere. Our logo is inspired by the migration of birds that travel long distances in a “V” formation. The special concept of leadership reflects our approach to teamwork and the promise of collaboration.

I think if you find yourself in a bubble of negativity it can be hard to feel a part of the organization. Dysfunction between silos in the organization can be a bit much. And are frankly out of place is an org this small.
I don’t care care how broken data assets are as long as we are a team dedicated to improving our company and are committed to moving forward with the support of our leadership. You gotta meet me halfway tho.
Advice to Management
I would suggest enacting a mentor system. Each new employee would have a seasoned employee to describe the organizational culture as it exists. Who can check in on new employees.
Avalere and the work we do is stressful. Feeling heard and appreciated is half the battle for some of the less outgoing employees.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2+ weeks. I interviewed at Avalere Health in September 2015.
A single day of 4-5 rounds of interviews with various employees. Interviews were content specific but also included questions regarding working style and preferred working environment. One interviewer took me out for coffee to discuss broadly how my personality might fit with in the team. Overall it was a very positive experience and the interview process would ultimately be a good preview of what it's like to work here.
