I worked at Avaya full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great people do work at Avaya

    Cons

401K matches few and far between
No comparable perks to other companies
New hires from other companies, when promoted, do not promote from within, but promote from their former companies

    Advice to Management

The company is not making money because you have a poorly skilled workforce, it's because upper management is overly-rewarded for poor performance (at least in the past, hopefully this is improved when the company goes public)

    Living In A Digital World

Jean Turgeon | We live in a digital world. Just short of being pixelated or virtual ourselves, the things around us continue to get smarter, faster, more connected, and increasingly digital. Customer relationships are digital. Business channels are digital. Our competitors are digital. My refrigerator is digital!

Avaya Advanced Solutions for Today Dispel a "Legacy" Label

We live in a world filled with seemingly limitless possibilities. One in which expectations are changing and open communications capabilities are being built. One in which a single vendor can no longer meet ever-growing customer, user and vertical needs. Enterprises seem to know this good and well.
