I worked at Axon Solutions full-time (More than 8 years)
Great people, competitive salaries and benefits, good projects. People support each other and work toward the common goal. Overall a great company to work for. I left voluntarily and would go back for the right opportunity.
The equipment provided is pretty dodgy; many consultants provide their own laptops. Also, the requested admin software is only provided for the duration of the project and has to be renewed. It can be a cumbersome process and can go out of date while you are in the middle of crunch-time. Seems penny-wise and pound foolish. Doesn't show much consideration for the consultants in that respect.
Review process is not very transparent, at least it doesn't seem so.
Advice to Management
More frequent technology refreshes for field consultants.
Tracking actual hours on a project will lead to more accurate time/resource estimates.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Axon Solutions (San Francisco, CA) in March 2014.
The interview process was pretty simple. There were several telephone interviews, followed by a few Skype interviews. Overall, they were pretty easy to interview with. Much of their interviews being much more of a conversation, instead of a typical 20 question interrogation. The entire process seemed to be very natural, and inspired hope in the possibility of working for, and growing with the company.
