Interview
First was a screening with the recruiter from Aya, who was very knowledgable on the salary range, expectations and benefits for working with the company. It was very nice to have a recruiter reach out to me about the position and talk through things instead of just applying online and not having any conversations prior to the interview. There were 2 total interviews, both being technical and behavioral. There were no coding exams or assessments - nobody asked me to write a line of code for the interview. The 1st round was 30 minutes and it was a call from a technology manager. The questions were about Angular, C# and SQL, which were just more conceptual, such as "how would you set up a component in Angular" etc. The 2nd and final round was 90 minutes long and was similar to the 1st round, with a 45 minute section of questions from an engineer and another technology manager, that were technical but not coding. I had studied quite a bit before the final interview so I was able to answer almost all of the questions. The latter half of the final interview was more focused on behavioral and cultural questions, but also related to technology. Overall it was a very pleasant experience to interview with Aya and I was happy to have met everyone I talked with. The best part about it was when I did the final interview, the interviewers told me "these questions are not to trip you up - there are no right or wrong answers, we just want to see the boundaries of your knowledge". How thoughtful and kind compared to some of the other companies I have been interviewing with, who are honestly pretty rude to the applicants at times.InterviewWhat is the difference between an Abstract Class and an Interface in C#?
