I have been working at BAM Communications full-time (Less than a year)
I left my 13-year career in law at the urge of every bone in my body screaming at me to do so. It was time to pursue other interests and find a career more aligned with my values. I value community, commitment, positivity, giving back, and communication, just to name a few. Beck Bamberger embodies the core values of BAM and she leads by example. She is the first to dive into any challenge (big or small), not only does she talk the talk but she walks the walk, in every way. Her seemingly endless capacity is a constant inspiration for me. BAM offers a workspace where people, especially women, feel empowered to unapologetically kick a** in their careers and lives. I haven't even mentioned the benefits that BAM provides its employees! I have said on countless occasions that I feel like I'm being "punk'd" because I can't believe how well I am treated by my employer. I have never felt so valued and supported, in any role, it is a gift to be a part of this team. I am truly honored to be a part of the BAMily.
I don't have any cons. BAM is in a growth space. There is a lot of change happening, in all the best ways, and I am excited to see how we continue to evolve.
Advice to Management
Continue to do exactly what you are doing with total transparency. The management provides constant communication and feedback leaving no one wondering what is going on or, more importantly, why.
I applied online. I interviewed at BAM Communications (Vancouver, BC (Canada)) in August 2017.
Contacted by HR for in person interview. They kept me waiting for the interview and weren't even apologetic about it. Seemed like they already found someone because they weren't interested in me at all from the get go. It was more like a formality. I wish had not wasted my time .
