I have been working at BLJC full-time (More than 3 years)
Strong values Opportunity for promotion Wages and benefits Great manager to work for Emphasis on growth, strong values, teamwork
Away from family two out of four weeks Due to location of job, difficult to have team building exercises
Advice to Management
More visits to the remote sites to see staff Those that don't work at remote sites don't understand the challenges employees face
I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at BLJC (Markham, ON (Canada)) in October 2013.
Took about a month before the interviews were given, had two rounds. Was one of three people shortlisted. Was the only applicant that was both qualified and needed NO training. Was a job in my department. We use different software and I was the only applicant that knew it, the only applicant that was familiar with that particular contract and vendors. They hired someone from outside the company that required 100% training. Manager told me it was a difficult decision and he kept changing his mind. No really clear why he went outside rather than hiring someone he knew was qualified, could do the job, wanted the job, and needed NO training.
