Pros
BMF has a great internal culture. Everyone is willing to help and wants to help you grow. Everyone takes into consideration the fact that there is life outside of work and are very flexible with your needs, including benefits like Half-Day Fridays during the summer. Coming from a Top 10 CPA firm to this more regional smaller firm, the overall change of pace and community if astonishing and welcoming and makes me realize that public accounting is going to be the same, but the people you go through it with make a world of difference. The management team continues to make changes to all processes (i.e scheduling, PTO, etc) to keep employees happy. They also listen to feedback after changes and continue to improve. BMF offers a lot of different areas for growth. There isn't one set path that everyone has to choose which is nice because everyone has different career goals and those goals can change as life changes.
Cons
Some of the systems and workpapers aren't as standardized as larger firms, however, they are constantly trying to grow and change and get advice to improve these workpapers and processes.
