I have been working at BMO Capital Markets full-time (More than a year)
Receive a lot of responsibility, ability to reach up/variety of work, investment in employee development, growing business, company culture fosters strong team environment, culture of giving back to the community
Some processes are cumbersome/outdated, technology is not cutting edge, "entrepreneurial spirit" sometimes fringes on disorganization, high level management decisions sometimes come off as out of touch with general employee base sentiments
Advice to Management
Listen to junior bankers more, diligence an idea/conduct focus groups on it before rolling it out widely, be more deliberate and less reactionary
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at BMO Capital Markets (Houston, TX) in December 2016.
I applied through my university recruiting website. I was selected for a first round phone interview. The interview was strictly behavioral questions; it took about 20 minutes. A few days later I was invited for a superday in Houston. The superday consisted of 4 30 minute interviews with various people in the office. It was highly conversational and the people were nice. A week later I received a phone call indicating that I did not receive an offer.
