BOK Financial – Why Work For Us?

At BOK Financial, we’re proud to trace our roots to a small energy bank founded in Tulsa, Oklahoma over 100 years ago during an oil boom. Today, as a top 25 U.S.-based bank with more than $30 billion in assets, BOK Financial has successfully diversified into a variety of industries, businesses and geographies throughout the U.S. We have banking operations in eleven states, with services throughout the nation, and a full-service brokerage firm, BOSC, Inc., which has become one of the largest municipal bond underwriters in the country. Our wealth management division also continues to grow, offering a full suite of services to individuals and institutions nationwide.

Our focus each day is on meeting the needs of our clients by bringing the right people, services or solutions to the table. We continue to offer the personal touch of the neighborhood bank, with the breadth of experience, resources and products you expect from a regional powerhouse.

We know the challenges our clients face because we’ve faced the same highs and lows over the past 100 years. Regardless of the economic cycle, BOK Financial continues to be a strong and stable company, adapting to ever-changing economic conditions. We work with you, side by side, to help you make the most of your money.

Many people think of their community simply as the place where they live, work and play. We believe our community is our livelihood and serving is more than a commitment; it's the embodiment of our corporate purpose statement — achieving more together.

Our sustained involvement and long-term investments in our communities are important elements of our culture and an integral part of the way we do business. We believe that helping the community also helps BOK Financial stakeholders — employees, shareholders and clients.

We are also committed to responsible corporate citizenship by encouraging our employees to give back to their communities through volunteering their time and talents. We offer several company-sponsored initiatives where our employees can be involved in support of the four areas we focus our giving. Those four pillars include: United Way, economic development, education and basic needs (hunger, housing, basic health care and safety).

All of our employees do their best to help our clients achieve more together. That applies to our bankers and advisors as well as our support services, including risk management, information technology, human resources, as well as sales and other roles within the bank.

You will find hard-working people with varied backgrounds who strive to find the right solutions for our clients’ unique financial needs. Our bankers work hand-in-hand with clients to help them make sound financial decisions. And they are backed up by dedicated employees who ensure system security and accessibility.

Inclusion is essential to our mission as a bank and a core competency at BOK Financial. We strive to promote an environment that is inclusive of the diverse values, opinions, experience, culture and needs of our employees, clients and communities.

By emphasizing the importance of this vision, we reinforce an understanding that inclusive practices lead to higher levels of employee engagement, performance, productivity and positive business results.

Our commitment to diversity and inclusion practices allows us to achieve our business goals:

  • Operate a best-in-class financial institution
  • Reinforce our reputation as an employer of choice in our industry and our communities
  • Attract and retain top talent that thrives in our inclusive culture
  • Provide resources and opportunities that engage and develop our employees
  • Integrate supplier diversity to support economic development and job creation in the markets we support
  • Support the communities we serve through employee volunteerism and commitment

    Easy Interview

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at BOK Financial (Stillwater, OK) in October 2017.

Met with them at the career fair, and was advised to apply. Went ahead and applied online and got a first round interview on campus. Interview itself was all behavioral, and also very informative about BOK Financial. While I did not get a second round interview, I still enjoyed my experience because of the interviewer enthusiasm.
