I worked at BOOK A TIGER part-time (Less than a year)
Pros
- one manages ones own time and availability by one self
- if you love independent work on self- initiative, BaT is for you
- you start the cleaning sessions from home and you get straight back home, no need to go "to the office" first and then travel to the customers house
- you work assignments are delivered through an app (nice, visible schedule by day, bay week and by month together with the short description of the work and the scope of activities)
- modest (though) supplies and equipment delivered straight home
- agile administrative (visa, social security, health insurance, etc)
- fast, undemanding, pleasant entering interview
- very nice people communicating the papers, your entering and leaving the firm, a surprisingly pleasant experience
Cons
- application is bugging from time to time which in this line of job is not a minor glitch
- call support is not answering when cleaners are on terrain and needing immediate support - ppl are on their own out there
- cleaners are on public display, rated, which is a bit unpleasant makes a lot of room for "unfair" loose of "stars", especially if customers are being unfair (which they are, in many cases)
- late cancelation - the firm did not find sufficient way to address this issue - the cleaner usually gets the shorter end of the stick
- the pay per hour is super low compering the amount of responsibility the cleaner has (being in another persons office/apartment)
Advice to Management
- app needs to be impeccable so that the business runs smoothly
- salary needs to be more competitive and you'll never suffer so heavy personal in/out flow
- severely better working equipment (mask, ticker gloves, cap/hat, erste hilfe... )
- different way of rating - this one makes it impossible to hold on to what was very hardly achieved
- listen to your cleaners and customers more closely - some of them had very useful business improvement advices right from out there
Application
The process took 6 days. I interviewed at BOOK A TIGER in August 2016.
Interview
I was approached by a recruiter and agreed on a time to talk on the phone. The interview was more like an informal chat, but very professional. Got a rejection email but it was within the time frame she had set up (1 week) and again it was super professional and friendly.
