Engineering

“I received my Masters of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from UW- Madison in 2002. Shortly after, I joined the BRP team in the Product Development Center as an Engineer on the simulation team. I love what I do and where I work. At BRP, we stress innovation - thinking about solutions that are are 'outside the box'. There is never a dull moment. I am responsible for a variety of deliverables; I am involved with the engine and its components from the concept stage to full production. What I enjoy most about my role is the opportunity to work hands-on with the engines, parts, fabrication and data acquisition process as well as the theory, design and testing of the product. I work with a great team of colleagues and have developed many solid relationships. Every morning when I come to work, it feels like I am coming home.”

- RAHUL SINGH, PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT - ENGINEER

Systems

"I work as an SAP analyst at BRP. My responsibilities include supporting existing system processes as well as developing new ones. I find it very motivating: we are always looking for ways to improve things, working as a team to innovate and make quality products, always with a winning attitude. It’s how things are done at BRP, and that’s why I’m so proud of working there. SAP is one of BRP’s core systems, so I get to work with people from most of the other departments — members of the “BRP family,” as I like to say. I do see us as a big family, because BRP cares about its employees. How? By offering unparalleled benefits, the tools we need to thrive in the organization and, of course, professional development opportunities —no matter what your job or field is, you can always progress."

- GABRIELA GRANADOS, ANALYST

Marketing

“As an OEM Business Manager, I oversee a team tasked with growing the business of selling Rotax propulsion systems to other OEMs. We search for new market opportunities and present business cases to upper management. It makes the job very diversified and challenging. BRP gave me the chance to explore different roles and enrich my skills in mechanical engineering by working in commercial and business management. Many things about working at BRP make me happy, such as the fact that we make such cool premium “big toys.” It motivates me and makes me proud whenever I show these products to my customers; they smile immediately!”

- STEFAN GRUBER, MANAGER OEM BUSINESS – ROTAX PROPULSION SYSTEM

I worked at BRP full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

There were always fun events to be apart of. Advancement opportunities were available if you worked hard, but only if your manager was a believer in you.

    Cons

Always restructuring due to being such a large company, which in turn equates to laying off employees.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 6+ months. I interviewed at BRP (Racine, WI).

    Interview

Phone screening interview went well. Very professional.

Walked into the 1st interview and could feel the hostility; arms crossed, leaning back, glaring at me. He seemed peeved that he had to be there. This position is almost bullet point by bullet point my last position in a similar company with similar structure. Should have been a slam dunk.

HR, professional. Hiring manager, very unprofessional.
