I worked at Banco Itau full-time (More than a year)
people are nice, small teams, depending on who you work with you can learn a lot (or a little), not a lot of flow but enough to learn, decent work life balance, great benefits
not organized, messy hr department, no flow, have a hard time breaking into the US Market, they are a big bank in brazil but do not realize they need to establish a reputation here before thinking they are "big shots"
Advice to Management
Stick up for your team rather than sit by to try to make yourself look good
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Banco Itau (New York, NY) in July 2013.
phone interview, then 2 in person interviews. first with who would be my manager and hr department and then with the general manager of the bank. i received the interview through a recruiter and then worked with him to negotiate salary/offering package, etc.
