Meals on Wheels Chicago

That’s why we proudly support Meals on Wheels Chicago. For more than 25 years, this organization has supported programs offering needy residents more choices in their care and living arrangements, despite their age, income or ability.
Military Warriors Support Foundation
Bankers Life partners with the Military Warriors Support Foundation to help combat-wounded heroes and families as they transition to civilian life. Through Homes 4 Wounded Heroes, a financial mentoring program, six families each year are awarded mortgage-free homes. The three-year mentor relationship helps put veterans on the path to a solid financial future.
I have been working at Bankers Life full-time (More than 5 years)
I wish I would have found my Career with Bankers Life many years ago. Despite that, hard work and dedication to my goals has rewarded me well with the Career that has changed my life and the lives of those around me. I get to help people every day, make a difference in their lives, help them make plans that will provide a safe and secure future. Helping people retire the way they want to is job one. Customer service is at the core. I am rewarded well for doing a "job" that I love. I started as an agent, worked my way up. I am still and agent. I still serve my clients, but I wear a leader hat now, too, and get to lead a team of great individuals. Working in a like-minded culture and environment that believes in "Team" instead of "I" and one that places value on integrity and a job well done has allowed me to find a home and the last "job" I will ever do--a career for life!
It takes motivation and hard work to be successful. It takes a driven, positive, and focused individual to reap the greatest rewards. Personally, I see these as positive attributes, but some may feel otherwise. Your investment of time, grit, and perseverance will pay off.
Advice to Management
Always keep the Team concept at the forefront! It works! Continually growing the great culture in-house is the key to internal growth and in raising a crop of successful, happy agents.
I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Bankers Life in September 2014.
It is a 3 step process 1 you meet in a group with one of the lead managers, 2 you meet as a group again to learn more about what they do and the process it will take to do it from a seasoned exequtive, 3 Final step is one on one interview for them to say yes or no.
