Positions Offered 

Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapists, Registered Respiratory Therapist and Registered Nurses. RN specialty areas include: Cath Lab, Dialysis, ED, Endoscopy, ICU, L&D, NICU, Oncology, OR, Pediatrics, PCU and more!


Banner Travel positions require current licensing in state of practice, current certifications (ie: BLS, ACLS, TNCC) and a minimum of one year experience (in specialty area) in an acute care hospital setting. Must have ability to become proficient with computer software applications commonly used in an automated patient care environment.

The Program

The Banner New Graduate RN Program, is a full-time Registered Nurse position that assists you in transitioning from a new graduate to a fully competent, professional nurse at Banner Health. This program provides a collaborative learning environment in which you have the opportunity to refine your nursing skills, enhance your knowledge, and develop new personal and professional relationships. 

The successful candidate will be placed in specialized units at Banner Health facilities o be clinically mentored by unit staff and educators. Unit preferences will be taken into consideration as we strive to achieve your nursing career goals. Within the program we hope to successfully match your desired service line with the needs of the business. Day and night positions are available.


Banner Health has a world class orientation/training/preceptor program which will help you build specific skill sets working with you patients and gain experience. Classroom sessions enhance your clinical knowledge and provide you with EMR education. Training in our Banner Simulation Center provides ‘Patient Scenarios’ that offer the opportunity to demonstrate learned skills, critical thinking and patient care techniques.

Training Includes:

• Training in our state-of-the-art Banner Simulation Center
• Competency and skills assessment and verification
• Orientation to the Cerner EMR system
• Patient care skills lab that provides hands-on experience with equipment
• e-Learning modules
• Clinical experiences with a preceptor
• Resources for professional and personal development


• Recent graduation from an accredited nursing program
• BSN is preferred
• Successful completion of NCLEX examination or have received a test date for NCLEX
• Current BLS card through the American Heart Association or able to obtain before a start date


The program is on-going, year round. There is no application deadline, however it is recommended that you apply no earlier than 60 days prior to graduation and taking your NCLEX.
